Quiz Corrections

MATH Quiz Correction Policy:

We learn best from our mistakes. Many students often ask if they can have "extra credit." My answer is “no”.  Instead, I have a quiz correction policy which allows students to look at the problems that they did not do well, maybe relearn them, and then correct them. This helps focusing in on the concepts or types of problems the student does not understand, as opposed to redoing correct problems that are already mastered.  My policy is as follows:

-   Students have two days from the date the quiz was handed back to get corrections handed in. During this time, you can get help from me or any other source, just be sure to show all your work!
-  You redo ONLY the problems that you did not get correct.
For each problem that is corrected, you will receive ½ credit for each done successfully.
-  To receive the corrected credits, you must complete a quiz corrections sheet:

            1. state the question number and write out the question to the problem
            2. answer the question, showing ALL work
            3. give a brief description of what you did wrong/why you missed it
            4. staple the correction sheet on top of the original quiz and hand in
